We used to be regulars at this hotel enjoying facilities including spa. So much is good about it, nice staff etc, but we don’t go anymore since this: we booked dinner at the restaurant then decided to stay at the spa and have a meal there instead. Management then charged us a hefty sum for not turning up at the restaurant, even though we had a meal in another part of the complex. Unexpected aggressive move on what was supposed to be a relaxing trip, not cool. Left a nasty feeling, particularly as we were there quite a bit. Plenty of other hotels!

hello all , just got home from an evening function xmas dinner with our triumph car club inc a stay one nite a must , as you can see excellent food was super mixed crowed music bar in lovely old building and have never visited before but will be happy too tell everybody about it ,the food was scrumptious fillet steak to die for staff brill and bed super ,i have lived in this area for 60 years but never been their before but cant wait to go again , we did not use facilities but two pools in /out with cover (in use this morning) ! main building 1897 which i love anyway so do it now before you book one of those boring places regards thanks again pontlands see you soon we hope regards rob welch

Where do I start, From when our daughter and new son in law said they wanted her wedding at Pontlands it was a breeze the moment Lisa and her team took over. They were all wonderful on the lead up to and on the actual day, Lisa was there overseeing everything along with Aileen and her bar staff. We as a whole family cannot thank you all enough, we were a very loud bunch and sometimes overbearing but they (especially the bar staff!) took it all in their stride!! The rooms were comfortable and very clean, along with the breakfast which was just perfect. Thank you to all, the day was very special all round.

Best afternoon tea in the area, excellent service and a warm, friendly and relaxed environment. Today you hosted our team of 13 ladies; nothing was too much trouble and the food was delicious (as always!) Thank you once again

Beautiful location but a place is only as good as its staff and the management are awful and refuse to correctly address issues. Plenty of other hotels with better management that would be a much better option.

The owners response to racism is disgusting, in fact his response to any negative feedback is awful. I hope he learns to accept criticism constructively and make changes rather than be defensive and rude to paying customers

I went for a function which was hired out, I lot of money was spent to get the event room I’m sure.. the hotel charge is retail prices for drinks. £10 for a large red is ridiculous when the event rooms been hired… the bathrooms were disgusting and there was wee all over the floor… if I get another invite to this hell hole I won’t be attending.

Massive rooms and perfect hotel for a 2 day course. Staff couldn't be more attentive offering everything we need for a great 2 days. Best bit is we're back in 4 weeks for more! I'll remember my trunks next time too.

We got married at Pontlands Park this past weekend, and wow—what an incredible experience! From start to finish, it was pure magic, and we couldn’t have picked a better venue or team. Lisa and Collette were absolute superstars throughout the planning process, making everything so easy and stress-free, while being super accommodating to all our ideas. Also being a same sex couple we felt incredibly comfortable and cared for by all those at Pontlands. On our big day, the sun was shining, and Aileen and her team worked their magic to ensure everything went off without a hitch. We feel so lucky and blessed to have found such a perfect place for our wedding, and we can’t recommend this venue enough. The catering was also divine and highly praised by all our guests, all dietary requirements were also taken care of. If you're looking for an amazing spot for your special day, definitely reach out to this fantastic team!

I attended a beautiful wedding party. The venue is stunning and the attention to detail was excellent. The location is amazing, beautiful buildings and beautiful grounds.

Recently (Wednesday - 18/09/2024) I attended a business meeting arranged by a pharmaceutical company followed by dinner. I checked with the staff who confirmed that all the items for the buffet main course are vegetarian except fish. He confirmed twice. But my colleagues found bits of chicken in the potato dish. When I called the staff member he initially said "no" but later checked with chef and confirmed that it in deed contained meat and apologised for the incorrect information. This is not acceptable and questions the integrity of staff. I will not eat here ever again.

Came on the 16/08/2024 for a wedding reception. I was greeted by Helder who gave us a very warm welcome and walked us to the room. After the wedding Helder done everything possible to make us feel welcome and couldn’t do enough. Absolute asset to the company. 5 stars from me 👍

Such a lovely hotel in gorgeous grounds. The staff are friendly and helpful, Lisa in particular and also Daisy in the restaurant. I'd definitely be booking again.

There was a 21st birthday party going on whilst we were staying there.It was in a marquee which was right outside our room had a disruptive sleep as banging and screaming could be heard all around us.According to Pontlands itself there was supposed to be quiet from Midnight-8 am all the commotion happened at 1:30- 3 in the morning.Had to go to reception to complain about the noise- thankfully it was only one night!

Came for Sunday lunch and booked online the day before. We all had a roast and it was reasonably priced. Beef was cooked perfectly, pork was tender and juicy. The crackling was a particular highlight! Roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft inside, wonderful arrange of vegetables. My only small comment would be the red cabbage was a bit too sweet, otherwise perfect! Service from the team was top notch. All had done with a smile. Would definitely come back again!

WOW absolutely incredible , me and my partner booked super last minute and we are extremely impressed, the most luxurious hotel the food was perfect beautiful rooms & surroundings . The leisure area was out of this world we was lucky with the weather and sat outside in the garden all day sunbathing with lots of choice of indoor outdoor pool & jacuzzis with sauna and steam also super modern experience . Thankyou so much will recommend to everyone and can not wait to book again !
